This symposium of talks, screenings, and conversations with artists and curators investigating the use of performance, history, and memory to address art and activism related to racism was co-produced with On Main Gallery Vancouver and Kwantlen Polytechnic University’s Fine Art Department.

Sammy Chien’s new essay is published both in book and online. It delineates his encounter with the Sunflower Movement 太陽花學運, his life journey being a visible minority and his artistic mission being an interdisciplinary artist—to ultimately remind us to unfetter the true universal value that exists within each one of us until the corrupted political and social ideology have blinded us.
