Welcome to the page for the soft launch of “Ritual-Spective 迴融”, a project lead by Sammy Chien with artists from Chimerik 似不像, an online experimental media art project that seeks to investigate the intergenerational dialogue on artistic, cultural and spiritual legacy by exploring the artworks of the artist’s father, Jackson Chien簡志雄, as a ritual of honouring the past, by listening, learning and processing, then re-integrate them to what is the here and now. Coinciding with Jackson Chien’s 70th birthday, the soft launch and celebration will be presented transpacifically online. We welcome the audiences to join us for the online live event, to see our work-in-progress, interact with the paintings and celebrate the joy together.
