Technical implementation:

The online performance is designed for dual-channel presentation, featuring pre-recorded video, real-time visualization alongside and audio materials. The first channel employs a live camera feed streamed directly to the audience, while the second channel utilizes a virtual camera user within the VRChat virtual environment. This virtual camera user captures real-time imagery of an avatar animated by one of the dancers. Simultaneously, the audio channel is streamed in real time alongside the video feed.

Software used:

Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Blender, Substance painter, Unity, Isadora, Ableton Live

• Blender (Open-source software): I utilized Blender for modeling and creating the virtual avatar (body).
• Substance Painter: This is an incredibly powerful software used to create textures for 3D objects.
• Unity: A game engine with a wide range of possibilities, I used it in my project to program the avatar and upload it to the VRChat world. It's incredibly user-friendly, especially given the supportive VRChat community that readily shares all necessary information on how to DIY virtual reality.

Sony camera, Atem Mini Pro and monitor to preview, two game ready Windows laptops (VR), Htc VIVE headset, Mac Pro laptop (audio), Mac Pro laptop (final stream to zoom), I speaker ( for the sound on the set), II speaker (for lip-sync avatar animation), led studio lights (4)
