About us:
Chimerik 似不像 is an interdisciplinary collective consisting of artists from underrepresented groups (POC, immigrants, queer folks, and women in tech/media arts) from various age groups, backgrounds,levels of experience, and disciplines (film/video, new media, VJ, VR, projection & lighting design, experimental music, sound art, visual arts and contemporary dance/theatre performance). A sample of upcoming projects this role would engage with are:
- Ritual-Spective 迴融 intergenerational dialogue using visual arts, technology, and movement - you will coordinate multiple work-in-progress digital/live showings to lead to a digital audio-visual, new media artwork delivered in a virtual space.
- 003_playback - an online interactive movement piece exploring kinesthetic response and real-time manipulation - you will support scheduling, contracting, and booking space for this research stage and help support a work-in-progress showing at the end of the research phase.
- We Were One - a dance research project that integrates spirituality and energy practice with movement art - you will support international travel booking and scheduling for many artists and researchers globally.
- Virtual Live Art - creation of an online database showing innovative digital models to support live-art presentations with the adaptation to the online world - you will manage the timeline, deliverables, and the dissemination of the database.
- Various Chimerik 似不像 collaboration & design projects we work with a variety of arts organizations and independent artists to design and operate shows in Vancouver, as well as national and international projects. - you will be the first person to respond to inquiries about projects and guide potential clients through the quoting, assess the fit of the project with the Chimerik 似不像 team availability, and managing the projects when applicable.

The Position
Chimerik 似不像 is immediately accepting applications for the following contract position: Producer/ Project Manager.
This is a part-time contract position for 10 months with the possibility of renewal
Hours: 8-15 hours/week. Schedule to be determined with the Artistic Team.
Compensation: $30-45/hour (negotiable, dependent upon experience)
Start date: Immediate
